Very expensive for minimal doctor involvement. Wore a device on my finger for two nights and met with someone (not a doctor) before and after. Was charged almost $800 post-insurance. Just seemed like a lot of money for someone to just download data from the device and not actively observe my sleeping. Also, I only received a notice of the total amount due via a text message. I had to call and request an itemized bill to be emailed to me so I could review why the amount due was so large.

I am a 42-year-old working mother, full-time professional, and primary earner. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in late 2025 and required sleep care for insurance to cover CPAP treatment. My experience with MWCSD has been costly, stressful, and poorly coordinated. I was charged for physician-level care, yet I never met with a sleep doctor. I understand that advanced practice providers can be part of a care team, but from a patient perspective, it was deeply frustrating to be charged substantial amounts while never actually seeing a doctor. I was required to attend in-person appointments 48 minutes away in Traverse City during a harsh Northern Michigan winter, leaving around 6:00 AM in the dark before starting work at 9:00 AM ET. Each visit cost over $300 after insurance and consisted mainly of brief conversations about data I could not access. After being told my next appointment would be virtual, because they are renovating, I confirmed my email and phone number a week in advance. On the morning of my 9:00 AM ET appointment, I received no email, text, or link. I called twice, was redirected to East Lansing, searched an unhelpful portal, and messaged at 9:02 AM asking for the link.

They only treat sleep apnea. They will tell you they treat all sleep disorders including insomnia, but they do not. If you have anything other than sleep apnea, they refer you out, but only after you do an expensive test to rule out sleep apnea. If you know you do not have sleep apnea, do not go here. It'll be a waste of time and a lot of money.

Wow, I hope I have the words to describe the superior care they gave me. Right from the first phone call, to the front desk to meeting my new doctor, Dr. Vishal Saini, and let's not forget Andrea, she makes things happen and is always so pleasent and helpful. I was new to the area and in need of a new sleep disorder physican. Andrea got me right in with ease, and Dr Saini was so relaxed and took time to get to know me and what my needs were. I appreicate that. Then my CPAP needed replacement, parts were falling off, it was effortless, all I had to do is let them know. They went the distance seeing that through for me. I feel confident I am in the right place with the right people. Andrea, you are the very best! Thank you for being here.
